Ramadhan Pledge 2021–2023 The Pivot

These were the years of pivot. With Sri Lanka in economic crisis in 2022, the annual Ifthar was abandoned and the batch moved decisively to direct, internal financial support for batchmates facing hardship. It was a structural change in how G9 served during Ramadan: less ceremony, more substance.

By 2023, the initiative had matured enough to be recognized at Crescent Night with the Outstanding Social Service Project Award a public acknowledgement of work that the batch had quite intentionally kept private.
