A Little History. . . 

We are the passed out batch of AL 2009 and OL 2006 at Zahira College Colombo 10, Post to AL exams in 2009 a team of students approached the OBA and requested permission to form as a group. With the guidance of the OBA this team formed up and organized a batch get-together along with a felicitation ceremony for their teachers.

Recognized by the Zahira OBA the Zahira College Group of 2009 was formed, which is known as the 1st batch which was affiliated with the Zahira OBA since its inception.

Being immediate school leavers the group’s executive committee was advised by the seniors at Zahira OBA the primary objective is to keep in touch, Let the members develop, Contribute to college by participation and involvement in OBA activities while helping fellow batch mates to develop in their Career, Higher Education and Life.Today Group of 2009 comprise of individual’s who has developed in various categories such as Medicine, Engineering, Business Consulting, Education & Entrepreneurship and more.

The groups Vision is to “Grow, Build & Contribute to the Alma-Mater”, Zahira College Group of 2009 has a track record of hosting its batch get together consecutively every year since 2009, respecting the guidance of the Zahira OBA.

The group’s mission is “To be a strong wingmen to the Zahira OBA while standing strong as a batch in supporting the College in its development”.
